Essential Aid - Lunugamvehera Sri Lanka

 Here in a rural village in the city of Lunugamvehera, Southern Province of Sri Lanka, there are many underprivileged families. We delivered supplies to many families within the village, including backpacks, water bottles, lunchboxes and a crate of food supplies.  We started by distributing school supplies, including notebooks, pens, and pencils, to the children. It was heartwarming to see the excitement on their faces as they received their new supplies. We also donated textbooks and other educational materials to the local school, which was in desperate need of resources. The teachers were incredibly grateful, and we could see the hope and optimism in their eyes as they looked at the new supplies.

Throughout the trip, we were struck by the resilience and kindness of the people we met. Despite the challenges they faced, they were incredibly generous and welcoming to us. It was a humbling experience to see the impact that even small acts of kindness can have on these communities.
